據(jù)《能源年》2月2日布魯塞爾報(bào)道，根據(jù)路透社周三宣布，世界銀行已同意在西非和中非的一個(gè)區(qū)域可再生能源項(xiàng)目上投入3.11億美元。

塞拉利昂、利比里亞、多哥和乍得的綜合開發(fā)項(xiàng)目將共同提供106兆瓦的太陽能發(fā)電，并將水力發(fā)電能力提高41兆瓦，同時(shí)加強(qiáng)配電和輸電系統(tǒng)。

該項(xiàng)目預(yù)計(jì)在四年內(nèi)完成。

世界銀行區(qū)域一體化事務(wù)主任布泰娜·格爾馬齊表示，“這是確保我們到2030年可獲得價(jià)格適宜清潔能源的一種普遍方法。”

World Bank invests in Africa’s renewables sector

The World Bank has agreed to spend USD 311 million on a regional renewables project in West and Central Africa, Reuters announced on Wednesday.

The combined developments in Sierra Leone, Liberia, Togo and Chad will together provide 106 MW of solar power and expand hydroelectric capacity by 41 MW while enhancing distribution and transmission systems.

The project is expected to be completed in four years.

“It is a continental approach to make sure that we reach universal access to clean affordable energy by 2030,” said Boutheina Guermazi, director for regional integration of World Bank.

According to the news source, West and Central Africa have some of the lowest levels of electrification on the continent.
